Your local junior football club

Subiaco Junior Football Club is an Australian Rules football club for children aged 5 to 15. Established over 12 years ago, the Club has been successful in giving local children an organised, safe, fun environment to play and enjoy Aussie Rules Football.

The Club has 120 registered Auskick children aged from 5 to 8 years old, along with 9s, 10s, 11s, 12s, 13s, 14s and 15s Junior Football teams. Each team has a Coach, Assistant Coaches and a Manager. The Club’s committee is comprised of a President, Secretary, Treasurer, Registrar, Property Manager and a Fundraising Committee.

The Club plays in the Claremont Junior District Council and is affiliated with Claremont Football Club.

The 9s, 10s, 11s, 12s, 13s, 14s and 15s train and play home matches at Rosalie Park, while away games are played at various grounds in the western suburbs such as Nedlands/Dalkeith, Claremont, Swanbourne, Mosman Park etc. The 13s, 14s and 15s play in a wider competition and play against teams such as North Beach, Sorrento and Carine.

The Junior Football teams play modified rules, which change slightly each year as the children get older. The 13s, 14s and 15s play full AFL rules.

Our Auskickers play on the Rosalie Primary School oval. Our home ground for the Juniors,  13s, 14s and 15s is Rosalie Park in Shenton Park. We now have clubrooms in the Subiaco Pavillion, which we share with the Subiaco Lacrosse Club.

Club Song

(Sung to the French National Anthem)
“We are the pride of Subi town,
We wear maroon and gold.
We will always fight for victory,
Like the boys have done of old.
All for one and one for all,
We will answer to the call.
Go Lions, Subi Lions,
We’ll kick the winning score.
You’ll hear our mighty roar”.
